What is Carelink?
The congregations of the Carelink Network have been cooperating to provide assistance to those in need in our community in a variety of ways since 2002. With resources contributed by connected congregations and services provided by the Salvation Army, 800 families were given aid in 2013 alone. The testimonies of Carelink congregations attest to the value of its work in providing for those in need in a compassionate, effective, equitable and efficient way.
Together we can accomplish much more than we can apart. We appreciate your interest in this organization and hope the information provided here helps your congregation make the choice to Get Connected with Carelink!

Donations made payable to the Salvation Army, including Carelink in the memo line, will be deposited into a designated line item for sole distribution of Carelink aid. It is important to know that the money donated is used for aid to the clients seeking services, and a small portion may be used for supplies needed in Carelink. The community resource staff from the Salvation Army are not funded by the Carelink donations.
Connected churches are now able to refer clients seeking social services to the Carelink organization using the referral form below. It is very important that churches and clients understand that a referral is NOT a guarantee of assistance. The Salvation Army will keep careful record of each client, use its human services information network and intake and evaluate each referral to determine the best means of assistance. A general guideline for assistance is $200 per person/household per year.

Carelink provides a cross denominational and community based collaborative effort to address social service needs in our community. Careful tracking and maintenance of client files frees churches from trying to maintain client information and ascertain those who should receive assistance. This central resource also frees churches from having money on the premises.
